​​In consideration of my registration and participation in the West Coast Sauna Summit (“Event”), I hereby acknowledge, agree, and consent to the following:

 

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the West Coast Sauna Summit (“Event”) and related activities (including but not limited to sauna sessions, wood-burning saunas, cold plunges, workshops, demonstrations, communal gatherings, and outdoor activities) involves inherent risks, including but not limited to overheating, dehydration, slips and falls, burns, exposure to cold, physical exertion, illness, property loss, serious injury, or death.

 

I voluntarily assume all such risks, accept full responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, or harm that may result from my participation, and release all claims that I may now or in the future have against West Coast Sauna Summit (produced by The Finnish Sauna Inc.), its founders Valtteri Rantala, Hadi Ali, and Linda Helisto, directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns.

 

My use of the West Coast Sauna Summit sauna village and other facilities is entirely voluntary and of my own free choice. Participation in sauna or cold exposure activities is not required to attend the Event.

I further acknowledge and agree that neither West Coast Sauna Summit (produced by The Finnish Sauna Inc.) nor the event venue, including Loon Lake Lodge and Retreat Centre, shall be responsible or liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or harm I may suffer while attending or participating in the Event or while present on the venue property.

 

2. Release of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue West Coast Sauna Summit (produced by The Finnish Sauna Inc.), the venue, and all associated organizers, sponsors, volunteers, agents, and affiliated parties (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including but not limited to claims arising from negligence.

 

3. Photo/Video & Marketing Consent

 

I understand and agree that photographs, video recordings, and other media may be taken of me during the Event. I hereby grant the Released Parties the irrevocable, worldwide, and perpetual right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display such photographs, video footage, and audio recordings that include my likeness, image, or voice (“Media”), in whole or in part, for marketing, promotional, advertising, educational, and commercial purposes, in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to:

 

• Social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)

• Websites and newsletters

• Printed and digital promotional materials

• Event recaps and press releases

 

I understand that no compensation will be provided for the use of such Media and waive any right to inspect or approve the finished Media or any accompanying text or graphics.

 

5. Age and Legal Competence

 

I represent that I am at least 18 years of age. If I am under 18 years of age, I confirm that my parent or legal guardian has reviewed and signed this Waiver and accepts all responsibility on my behalf. I affirm that I am legally competent to execute this Waiver or that my legal guardian has the authority to do so.

 

6. Governing Law

 

This Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
