THE BEGINNING
A wild idea: what if we brought the Canadian sauna ecosystem together?
The West Coast Sauna Summit began on a quiet Saturday morning, when Valtteri and Linda were deep in conversation about sauna culture on the Pacific West Coast.
Incredible things were happening and the momentum was on — builders crafting beautiful saunas, entrepreneurs launching new experiences, hotels embracing wellness. But most were doing it in isolation. There was no shared space for learning and best-practices. No forum for connection and conversations on the benches.
That morning, a simple idea emerged: what if we brought the whole ecosystem together? Bringing people together for an extended weekend of good sweats, great talks, and meaningful business.
From that spark, the West Coast Sauna Summit was born. A platform to connect sauna builders, designers, operators, hospitality leaders, and wellness visionaries. A place to share ideas, sweat together, and move both culture and business forward.
Because the momentum is here and sauna business is growing, fast. Now, it's time to nourish the culture.
So that what we all are building, can have a future where it can flourish.

What we believe in.
01 Authentic sauna culture is worth protecting and nourishing as it takes shape across North America.
02 The best ideas and relationships are born on the benches, not in conference rooms.
03 A rising tide lifts all boats — sauna businesses grow stronger when the community grows together.
04 Nature is not a backdrop. It's the point. Loon Lake is not incidental to WCSS — it's essential to it.
05 We gather people from all parts of the ecosystem intentionally — diverse voices make the conversation richer.
THE TEAM
Meet the people behind WCSS.
