West Coast Sauna Summit 2025: Uniting Enthusiasts and Innovators to Advance Sauna Culture in Canada
Maple Ridge, BC – From January 17 to 19, 2025, Canada's first-ever dedicated sauna industry event, the West Coast Sauna Summit, will take place at the picturesque Loon Lake Lodge in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
This landmark event aims to bring together sauna enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, operators, builders, and wellness pioneers from across Canada and beyond, fostering a collaborative environment to propel sauna culture forward.

As Canada's first-ever sauna business event, the event signifies a pivotal moment in the nation's wellness landscape. Sauna culture has experienced notable growth in Canada in recent years. The increased adoption of home saunas as well as sauna's integration to global wellness tourism highlight a growing appreciation for sauna culture in Canada, with increasing numbers of individuals incorporating saunas into their wellness routines.

The North American sauna market, which includes Canada, generated a revenue of USD 239.7 million in 2023 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2% from 2024 to 2030. The global wellness industry was valued at $5.6 trillion in 2022 and is expected to rise at an annual pace of 8.6% to over $8.5 trillion by 2027. The wellness tourism sector in North America reached $266.8 billion in 2022, reflecting a growing interest in wellness experiences, including saunas.

The summit will be hosted at the Loon Lake Lodge and Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge. Nestled in the UBC Faculty of Forestry's Malcolm Knapp research forest, the venue underscores the event's emphasis on wellness and connection to nature.
